When you start Microsoft Excel it begins with default settings. Excel allows you to perform many formatting including changing font style and size, center cell contents across columns, format a cell range with AutoFormat, and change cell alignment.

You can also unformat cell borders. Excel provides for spell checking, and automatic recalculation.
